Overview:
Our client is a leading manufacturer & distributor of Flooring products to the Dealer and Building industries. The company requires a dedicated Vancouver-based Business Development Team Manager, focused on team leadership and revenue growth initiatives to the key Flooring Dealer sales channel and also to the Builder and Architect & Designer networks in Alberta and BC.
Responsibilities:
* The ideal candidate has extensive flooring industry sales experience and working knowledge of the home and business building products industry.
* You should also have solid technical understanding of the building products industry, along with a solid network of contacts in the Flooring Dealer network, while understanding the involvement with the Builder and A & D segment in the flooring materials Specification and buying process
* While manmaging clients and driving revenues,you willalso lead a small team of Flooring Territory Managers, helping them find, negotiate and close new and existing clients.
Compensation:
$100,000 ++
Requirements:
Candidates must:
* have extensive flooring industry knowledge, contacts and sales expertise, ideally in the Vancouver /Western Canadian market
* have very strong communication skills
* be a self-motivated sales leader with a high level of personal and corporate integrity
* be comfortable negotiating with and selling to all three sales channels with a particular focus on the Flooring Dealer network
* be highly organized and presentable, with a strong work ethic and a very positive 'make it happen' attitude
* be very comfortable prospecting for new business opportunities with strong deal closing skills.
* you must be able to lead a team by example, while proving superior coaching, motivating and problem solving skills
This role will operate from a Regional Office in the Greater Vancouver region, and will call on clients at their Dealer store outlets, along with building sites and A & D offices in BC & Alberta.
The role will involve approximately 25% out of town travel.
* reliable vehicle will be required and a thorough Reference Check will be part of the candidate selection process at the shortlist stage.
The position offers a strong Guaranteed Annual Income in the $100,000 range, depending on candidate qualifications. The potential for significant income growth is realistic through guaranteed income and individual and team sales revenues through a commission structure.
A monthly car mileage allowance and cellular phone/office expenses allowance will be provided, and other approved business expenses will be covered. A solid Employee Benefits package is also included.
