Overview:
Salary: $80-90K, benefits,profit share
Responsibilities:
Complete understanding and knowledge of local competitors and pricing structures accepted within the local market area.
Fully fluent with warehousing terminology.
Strong understanding of warehouse management software operating systems.
Prepare annual budget for area of responsibility.
Identify and implement staffing requirements.
Development of physical and cycle count inventory audit programs.
Have the knowledge and ability to analyze equipment requirement needs that are most suited to the application.
Assist local sales personnel through joint sales call efforts.
Ensure maximum file profitability via control of vendor costs.
Be aware of local requirements with regards to equipment and general safety regulations.
Ensure operational and service excellence is maintained and exceeded.
Proactively develop relationships with third party vendors that allow the company to provide a complete and comprehensive service offering.
Identify and develop special services that are unique to or industry or specific market.
Identify and implement core competency service offerings within your local market area.
Ensure effective and efficient management of the branch.
Preparation of yearly performance evaluations of department staff.
Maintain and foster close relationships with key customers within your area.
Ensure personnel receive appropriate training.
Prepare and issue rate quotation both internally and externally as required.
Ensure timely and accurate approval of vendor invoices.
Ensure invoicing of rendered services is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Mechanically inclined and have the ability to identify and suggest the most appropriate course of action required to correct the deficiency.
Ability to design and develop specific forms or other tool required to achieve the task.
Compensation:
$80-90K
Requirements:
Minimum 5-7 years in warehousing, distribution and freight forwarding industry with a proven satisfactory track record.
Previous experience in management position.
Strong decision-making and leadership skills.
Able to motivate personnel.
Strong communication, analytical and administrative skills.
Proficient verbal, written and organizational skills.
Able to work effectively under pressure.
Diligent attention to detail.
