Overview:
The Objective with this roled is to develop and service new and existing commercial sales. Achieve sales objective in specific geographic territories.
Responsibilities:
Make regular calls on existing and new accounts to create, maintain, and maximize project sales.
• Engage extensively in business development activities, including cold-calling and networking, in order to uncover and create opportunities
• Work with Designers, Commercial Realtors and Property Developers on large projects to ensure best possible chance of closing a sale.
• Follow-up on deliveries to ensure that each job is done properly, outstanding deficiencies are resolved and customer is satisfied with each project.
• Develop and implement strategies and action plans for growth and profitability
• Develop a working relationship with Product Account Managers to create leads for interiors project work
• Develop a working relationship with furniture manufacturers for best possible project results
• Manage the order process – order accuracy, expected delivery and all necessary follow-up in conjunction with the Coordinator and Interior Designer
• Will spend at least 60% of the day outside of the office, meeting prospects and customers to gain new project business, and updating skills by visiting vendors.
• The position may also require non-traditional hours of work. Own vehicle is required
Compensation:
$52,000 + with Commision and Bonus Structure
Requirements:
• Familiarity with the contract and systems business would be a definite asset.
• Experience selling to Government agencies and departments would be an asset
• 5 years’ business development and outside selling experience in a Business to Business environment in the mid to large market segment
• Federal government experience is an asset
• Strong interpersonal & communication skills; effective time management and delegation skills
• Familiarity with RFP tender process
• Strong computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word) required
• Keen business sense and success dealing at the C Level and the Procurement Level
