Overview:

Our client is a privately held and well established and respected provider of equipment sales, rentals, service and parts through seven manufacturing and service facilities in BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Ontario. They are a distributor for utility truck equipment, the exclusive Canadian distributor for a large equipment rental company as well as the distributor for various other utility related parts and accessories.





Responsibilities:

This client is looking for a Utility Equipment Sales person that will be responsible for promoting and selling their utility equipment product line including Aerial Man-lifts and Digger Derricks throughout Southern Alberta.



Key Responsibilities



• Growth of sales and gross margin for utility truck equipment in Southern Alberta through the sale of aerial man-lifts and digger derricks

• Management of key account relationships and becoming the customer’s solution provider

• Engaging directly with potential customers to help them understand how the company's utility equipment will help them address their operational requirements

• Engaging with customers in their specification writing process for utility equipment to ensure bids and tenders favour the company and their utility equipment partners

Compensation:

$100,000 ++

Requirements:

The ideal candidate for this Calgary-based role will be a professional sales person with experience selling the same or similar utility equipment products. The candidate should have excellent customer service skills, a strong mechanical aptitude, be a self-starter with a strong attention to detail for contract negotiation and agreement specifics and a proven track record of sales and gross margin growth in their areas of responsibility. The candidate should also be comfortable with responding to bids and tenders.



Job Skills & Abilities



• 5+ years of key account management expertise and with 3+ years of experience selling the same or similar utility equipment products

• Professional selling approach with a focus on relationship building and management

• Strong orientation toward sales and margin growth

• Ability to present thoughts clearly and concisely both in one on one discussions and through formal presentations

• Ability to complete bid and tender documents

• Ability to review and recommend truck and truck equipment specifications, so a high-level of truck equipment knowledge is very important

• Team player with a strong work ethic

• Strong time management and computer skills

• Has a mechanical equipment aptitude and a general interest and knowledge of heavy equipment



This role will offer a base salary in the $70,000 - $90,000 range, along with a commission program based on gross profit that should generate between $50,000 and $120,000, for total earnings potential of $120,000 to $200,000. A solid Employee Benefits Package will also be offered.
