Overview:
Our client, a global supplier of medical devices, surgical instruments, and disposable medical products is seeking a rising star for their BC territory. You will promote the full line of surgical products throughout the British Columbia marketplace. The candidate will provide technical support to the established customer base, seek new market opportunities and coordinate all aspects of product promotion and territory management. You must have relevant surgical and Operating Room experience and be able to create long-term profitable relationships. The successful candidate must travel frequently to the Okanagan hospitals, Vancouver Island Hospitals and occasionally to Interior and Northern accounts.
Responsibilities:
• Promote and sell comprehensive line of surgical products
• Requires technical aptitude and full comprehension of medical / surgical procedures
• Manage all aspects of the sales territory, provide technical support to established customer base and seek new market opportunities to grow business
• Coordinate all aspects of the product promotion and territory management including formulating annual sales plan, identifying target accounts, strategies and tactics and meet defined sales targets
• Make required sales contacts throughout territory, define opportunities and communicate / document sales progress
• Develop relationships at key contact levels in customer’s organization, create value for customer and promote the broad array of surgical products.
• Increase sales through new account development and by expanding penetration (range of products) with existing customers
• Participate in marketing programs, identified conferences and corporate promotion of surgical instrumentation and surgical product programs
Compensation:
$150K++(base + bonus) car allowance,benefits, expenses
Requirements:
• Degree from an accredited University
• Minimum of 3 - 5 years experience and a proven track record selling to, Surgeons, Operating Room, SPD / CSD and Materials Management
• Understanding of surgical procedures and the application of surgical devices in the clinical / operative setting
• Preference to those with previous surgical instrument sales experience
• Strong sales and customer service skills, able to interact professionally with all hospital personnel / customers, and having an excellent aptitude for technical knowledge and good communication / presentation skills
• Creative, resourceful, organized, adaptable, self motivated and independent
